You have a ton of new or better ways to connect with your audience, make connections, and share your content and company updates with the help of the most recent LinkedIn features. There are ways to help, whether it’s your own material, fantastic content you want to share, polls to understand what your community thinks, or events to market your business.

Here are some new, unique LinkedIn features that will help transform your marketing efforts.

LinkedIn Stories

You can now share photos, videos and GIFs on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Stories can be viewed in the news feed or in a separate stories feed (similar to Instagram). You can also add hashtags to boost engagement and increase visibility.

Live Videos

Live video is a great way to connect with your audience and bring them behind the scenes of what you do. Live videos can be used in various ways, such as marketing, training, and education. It is also one of the best ways for professionals to engage with job-seekers and acquaintances to encourage and inspire them.

Live video can be used for interviews and Q&A sessions with experts in your industry. It also gives you an opportunity to showcase new products or services through demonstrations so that customers can see exactly how they work.

LinkedIn Polls

LinkedIn Polls are a great way to engage your audience and get them involved in the project or process you’re working on. You can use LinkedIn Polls to ask questions, get opinions, and gather feedback from your audience.

If you have an idea for a product or service that you’d like feedback on before launching it into the world, create a poll! The best part? You can ask multiple choice questions or open-ended questions so they can share their thoughts in whatever way they choose.

The possibilities are endless with these features!

Video Meetings

LinkedIn has added a few new features to the app for users of its Premium subscription package. For example, you can now host video meetings from your profile or join them from invitations and emails.

To get started with these new features:

  • On your profile, select “Host Video Meeting” from the drop-down menu under your name.
  • If you are receiving an invitation for a video meeting, click on the link provided in it. You’ll be prompted to enter any additional information before joining the meeting through your LinkedIn account.

Edit Messages After Sending

Now hereโ€™s a feature we all would appreciate! No more crying over typos or poorly-written cold pitches! You can now  edit messages up to five minutes after you send them, but only the text. You won’t be able to change the recipients of a message or delete it entirely.

To edit a message:

  • Go to your LinkedIn inbox
  • Select a message from the list of recent emails you’ve received
  • Click on the pencil icon in the bottom right corner of that email

Highlight Features

LinkedIn has released a new feature called Highlight Features. With this new feature, you can highlight any sections of your LinkedIn profile and they will display as features on the page. These highlighted sections will show up in search results and help increase engagement with visitors to your profile.

Highlights can be added by clicking on the โ€œadd highlightโ€ button below the heading for each individual section of your profile (e.g., Education). Once added, highlight text will appear as a feature at the top of that sectionโ€™s page (see screenshot below).

Highlights also have their own color options: black text on white background or white text on black background; however, it is important to note that there are no other customization options available for highlights at this time (e.g., sizing/alignment).

Additionally, highlights allow users who visit another personโ€™s profile to click through directly from a highlighted section into an external link; however these links are currently limited only to other LinkedIn profiles within the network itself rather than external websites like social media accounts or blogs hosted elsewhere online — though future updates may include this functionality eventually!

Event Tabs

Event tabs is a new feature that allows you to create an event page on LinkedIn. Event tabs can be added to events, groups and company pages. Tabs can be used to promote your event, or highlight your brand by giving users the opportunity to discover more about who you are and what you do.

When creating an Event Tab:

  • Choose from three different layouts for your tab(s)
  • Add information about the event such as date/time, location, pricing etc…
  • Upload logos/images for each tab (optional)

View page followers tab

  • The page followers tab is a new feature on LinkedIn that allows you to see who is following your page.
  • The page followers tab can be found under the profile tab.
  • If you have multiple pages, it will display all of them in one list and add โ€œ(page name)โ€ after each name.

Notify employees

If you’re the HR manager or someone who manages a team of employees, LinkedIn’s new Notify feature can be an invaluable tool for keeping everyone informed. You can choose to notify your employees about new job openings and other company news, events, promotions and benefitsโ€”all without having to send out mass emails or post on social media. This will save time for both you and your employees.

Merge your LinkedIn Accounts

LinkedIn has launched the ability to merge multiple LinkedIn accounts into one. This means you can have a personal account, company account, group and page merged all in one place!

How do I merge my LinkedIn accounts?

First, log into one of your linked accounts. Select โ€œMergeโ€ from the drop-down menu at the top of your profile page next to โ€œSettingsโ€ then enter your unique code that we emailed you when we merged your first LinkedIn account with an existing personal/business account. LinkedIn Cover Story

LinkedIn Cover Story is a new way to share your story. The feature lets you curate content from across the platform, including articles, videos and podcasts, to tell your story in one place. It also takes advantage of LinkedIn’s scale by allowing you to publish these stories directly on the site or in groups where they can be seen by millions of members at once.

Creator Mode

Creator Mode is a new feature that allows you to create new content in the LinkedIn app. You can write a post, add images, and craft an article all on your phone with Creator Mode. It’s available for both iOS and Android devices, making it easy to share content anywhere you are.

Once you’re done creating, tap Publish and share it with your network or keep it private. You can also add tags so others can find your work more easilyโ€”and save time when they do!

If you are looking for a way to stand out among the crowd and make an impact on your audience, then these new features can help you do just that.
