The Challenge

Genesis Community Rehabilitation Inc. specializes in Rehabilitation Support and Behaviour Consultation services for clients living with Acquired Brain Injury, mental health issues, developmental disabilities, spinal cord injuries, and other complex needs. Services are provided to individuals of all ages across Ontario.

As a referral-driven organization, with personal injury lawyers, case managers, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, and speech-language pathologists driving new client relationships, Genesis Community Rehabilitation had no meaningful digital footprint when they first partnered with Social Know How. Their reputation lived entirely offline.

The challenge: build a professional online presence from the ground up in a highly sensitive healthcare space, then sustain it with consistent, compliant storytelling that grows Genesis’community and positions the organization as the subject-matter expert in its field.

Key objectives included:

Launch a complete digital presence for Genesis across social platforms
Grow visibility and exposure within the ABI, rehabilitation, and referral-partner community
Position Genesis as a trusted subject-matter expert through educational storytelling
Provide ongoing social media management and event coverage to keep the community engaged year-round

Our Strategy

We delivered a long-term digital strategy combining a ground-up presence launch, always-on social media management, and on-site event coverage.

Digital Presence Launch: Working from a full social media strategy and identity system, we launched Genesis CommunityRehabilitations’ presence on Facebook and Instagram (@genesis_cri). This included brandvoice development, content pillars tailored to a sensitive healthcare audience, and clear guidelines on permitted topics from brain injury research and educational articles and association events.
Ongoing Social Media Management: As a client since the inception of our partnership in 2016, Genesis has relied on Social Know How for end-to-end social media management. We maintain a consistent publishing calendar across Facebook and Instagram, educational content on acquired brain injury and mental health, service spotlights, community news, and content aligned with partner associations such as the Ontario Brain Injury Association, supported by ongoing community management.
Event Coverage & Content Production: Our team provides on-site coverage of Genesis Comunnity Rehabilitations’ community events, fundraisers, and association gatherings, capturing photo and video content that brings the organization’s mission to life. This steady stream of authentic, real-world content fuels the social calendar and deepens trust with families, referral partners, and the broader rehabilitation community.
