Spring is in the air, and so is a new festival that’s bringing a little bit of everything to you! Social Know How is proud to announce a media partnership with the prestigious 10th Annual Vaughan International Film Festival 2022!

The Vaughan International Film Festival, headquartered in the neighboring city of Toronto, is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring the short film industry’s future. VFF aims to encourage both seasoned and budding filmmakers through public film screenings, scholarship possibilities, as well as interesting and instructive forums, webinars, and industry events.

The festival, now in its tenth year, continues to provide a platform for independent filmmakers to promote their work and advance their careers. Filmmakers have the chance to reach an audience of over 19,000 people over the festival week, promotional events, and special screenings.

The festival will begin on the 20th of June and feature films from around the world. There are categories for documentaries, TV shows, foreign films and comedies, dramas, and musicals. The panel of local film buffs will critique the movies and give awards for best picture, writing, and acting. The audience will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film. This refreshing 4-day event that celebrates Canadian and International filmmaking will be a wonderful occasion for you to reminisce and relive joyous films close to your heart.

The Vaughan International Film Festival has established itself as a leader in supporting the arts and education at the grassroots level over the last ten years, not only by providing a platform for independent creators to share their films and further their careers in the industry but also by providing a platform for independent creators to share their films and further their careers within the industry. VFF has also been of significance to high school students across the province of Ontario through student film screenings, seminars, bursaries, and scholarships.

VFF’s affiliation with the Entertainment Industry Experts Mentorship Alliance is just another way they continue to bridge the gap between industry professionals and up-and-coming artists (EIPMA). EIPMA is a non-profit organization constituting working professionals who are devoted to helping the entertainment industry’s future talent. Cinema Audio Society (CAS), American Cinema Editors (ACE), Avid Technology, Hollywood Professional Association (HPA), and The Recording Academy are all members of the EIPMA.

To further finesse the end to a glorious event, the Vaughan Film Festival is delighted to be returning to the always-elegant Terrace Banquet Centre for their black-tie, red-carpet event! Guests will enjoy a musical performance as well as a scrumptious four-course meal while networking with industry leaders and VFF’s supporting partners. In addition, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the VFF, they will bestow a unique, brand-new honor this year: the Decennium Award, which will be granted to the finest film of the decade!
